WHAT MAKES A HYBRID
Hybrid cultivars are intentional crosses between indica and sativa parents — the entire modern cannabis catalog past the 1970s is hybridized to some degree. A hybrid can lean indica-dominant, sativa-dominant, or balanced. The terpene profile mixes leads from both sides: you might get caryophyllene + limonene (gas + citrus), myrcene + terpinolene (sedation + brightness), or any combination depending on the breeding lineage. Most modern exotic strains — Lemon Cherry Gelato, GMO, Wedding Cake, Gelato 41, Zkittlez — are hybrids. The flexibility makes hybrids the deepest shelf for dialing in a specific felt experience: pick the ratio you want.
