WHAT MAKES A INDICA
Indica-leaning cultivars come from the broader-leafed Cannabis indica side of the gene pool — historically traced to the Hindu Kush region between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Phenotypically you’re looking at short, dense, heavy-yielding plants with chunky fan leaves and tight bud structure. The terpene fingerprint typically leans high in myrcene (mango, musky herbal sedation) and caryophyllene (pepper, gas, body-heavy CB2-binding effects), often with a linalool top-note (lavender, calm). Hemp-derived THCa indica flower is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill provided the dry-weight Δ9 stays under 0.3%; once smoked or vaped, decarboxylation converts THCa into Δ9 THC and you get the full body-leaning experience.
