A vape cartridge (or "cart") is a pre-filled glass-and-metal container of cannabis oil with an integrated atomizer and 510 thread fitting. The user screws the cart onto a compatible battery, presses the button (or auto-draws), and inhales vaporized oil. Cart oils range across the quality spectrum: budget carts use distillate + artificial terpene flavoring; mid-tier carts use distillate + cannabis-derived terpenes (CDT); premium carts use live resin or live rosin oil with native terpenes preserved. Live rosin carts are the connoisseur tier — solventless oil in a vape format. Carts come in standard sizes: 0.5g, 1g, and (rarely) 2g. Hardware brands matter: CCELL ceramic-core is the premium standard; Verge and Avd are emerging alternatives. Cart usage: store upright when not in use (oil pools at the atomizer); avoid leaving in hot cars (oil thins, leaks); replace battery before a session if it's low (low-voltage hits taste burnt). Average cart lifespan: 100–250 puffs per gram, depending on draw length and oil viscosity.
