Sauce (sometimes "terp sauce" or "HTFSE" — high-terpene full-spectrum extract) is a concentrate format consisting of crystalline THCa diamonds suspended in a runny, high-terpene cannabinoid oil. Sauce represents the natural separation of cannabis extract chemistry: the cannabinoids crystallize into THCa diamonds as the extract sits, while the terpenes remain liquid and pool around the crystals. Production: typically starts with live resin or live rosin sealed in a jar at room temperature for weeks. The crystallization happens slowly. The result is the "diamonds and sauce" format — best of both worlds. Sauce dabs at 540–560°F (low-temp). The flavor is incredibly intense because the terpene fraction is concentrated. Sauce is popular in vape carts (the runny consistency works well in cartridges) and as a connoisseur dab format. Live rosin sauce is one of the most premium concentrate categories on the market — $80–$150+ per gram is normal for top-tier live rosin sauce.
