Crumble is a BHO concentrate format with a dry, brittle, crumbly texture that easily breaks apart with a dab tool. It's produced by purging BHO at higher temperatures and longer times than shatter or wax, driving off more residual moisture and terpenes. The result is a more cannabinoid-concentrated, less terpene-rich product that's very stable at room temperature. Crumble dabs hot (600–650°F) because the lower terpene content tolerates heat. The flavor is more "roasted" and less aromatic than other BHO formats. Crumble is common in budget-tier dabs and in vape-cart production where the dry texture is easy to dose precisely. Crumble is also useful for "topping" bowls or joints — a small piece sprinkled on flower adds significant potency without the moisture issues of shatter or wax. Crumble is rarely the connoisseur first-pick — for daily-driver dabbing or infusing flower, it's practical.
