Full profile
Terpinolene is rare as a dominant terpene — it appears in maybe 1 in 10 commercial strains as the leader. But when it does lead, the strain usually reports as energetic, cerebral, and uplifting. Aromatically it's complex: piney, floral, slightly tart-apple-like. Boiling point 183°C puts it squarely in the low-temp dab preservation range. Outside cannabis, terpinolene shows up in lilac, cumin, apples, and tea tree oil. Research on terpinolene is less mature than on the big four (limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, pinene) but early work suggests antioxidant activity — again, unevaluated by FDA. Terpinolene-led strains are often prized by connoisseurs for the distinctiveness of the experience vs the typical indica-hybrid couchlock. On Rosin Royale PDPs, terpinolene-led cuts carry an amber gem.
