Full profile
Nerolidol is a sesquiterpene with a distinctive soft woody-floral aroma that reads like fresh bark crossed with jasmine. It has the lowest boiling point of the common cannabis terpenes (122°C), which means it's the first to evaporate in high-heat dabbing — connoisseurs who want nerolidol preservation pull at 480–500°F. Outside cannabis, nerolidol appears in jasmine, lemongrass, tea tree oil, and ginger. Research on nerolidol covers sedative signalling, skin permeation enhancement (which is why you see nerolidol in topical cannabis products), and antifungal activity. In cannabis, nerolidol tends to appear as a secondary terpene in calming cultivars. The woody-floral quality adds complexity to the aroma beneath dominant terps like caryophyllene or myrcene.
