Full profile
Limonene is the second-most-common terpene in cannabis and the compound behind that unmistakable citrus-rind pop you get when you crack open a jar of Lemon Cherry Gelato or a tart sativa. Chemically it's a cyclic monoterpene (C₁₀H₁₆) with a boiling point around 176°C — meaning low-temp dabs preserve it where high-temp dabs burn it off. Connoisseurs who prize the citrus nose pull their rosin at 520–540°F to keep limonene intact. Beyond cannabis, limonene shows up in citrus essential oils, juniper berries, and peppermint. Research on limonene spans anxiolytic signalling, gastric reflux benefits, and potential anti-inflammatory activity — though the FDA has not evaluated any cannabinoid-terpene product for medical use. On Rosin Royale PDPs, limonene-dominant strains carry the gold Terp Gem. The entourage effect — the idea that terpenes and cannabinoids shape the felt experience together — is why we publish terpene profiles on every batch COA. Sativa-leaning strains with limonene tend to pair with morning activities, solo sessions, and citrus-forward food pairings (grilled lemon fish, gin-tonic, Meyer-lemon pasta).
