WHAT MAKES IT "LIVE"
A live resin cart is a cannabis vape cartridge filled with concentrate extracted from fresh-frozen flower (not dried/cured). The "live" refers to the starting material — flash-frozen at harvest to preserve terpenes that evaporate during curing.
The extraction itself uses butane or propane as the solvent, then purges off. This distinguishes live resin from live rosin, which uses the same fresh-frozen starting material but extracts solventlessly.
FLAVOR TIER
Live resin vapes sit at the top of the vape-cart flavor hierarchy. Distillate carts (flavorless base + added terpenes) are at the bottom. Live resin (solvent-extracted native terps) is mid-tier. Live rosin carts (solventless native terps) are top-tier.
If flavor matters, the hierarchy is: live rosin > live resin > distillate + terps > flavored distillate.
HARDWARE MATTERS
Cart hardware quality affects the vape experience more than most buyers realize. Ceramic coils > wick coils for preserving terpene integrity. Post-less carts (solid metal frame) > post carts (central tube can leak).
Avoid bargain carts — cheap hardware produces more harshness and can leak concentrate into the mouthpiece.
TEMPERATURE + DRAW
Variable-voltage batteries let you tune the vape experience. 2.0–2.4V preserves terpenes and produces a smoother draw. 3.2V+ produces bigger clouds but burns terpenes.
Long slow draws (4–6 seconds) extract more terpene than short fast ones.
WHAT ROSIN ROYALE DOES
We don't currently sell live resin carts — our focus is solventless only (hash rosin jars). A live-rosin cart category is on the roadmap for 2026+. See hash rosin catalog for our current products.
