THE 62% RH TARGET
Cannabis flower stores best at 58–62% relative humidity. Below 55% the trichome heads dry out and crumble, producing a harsh smoke. Above 65% and you're inviting mold growth.

JAR CHOICE
Mason jars are the apothecary standard for a reason: inert glass, metal lid seal, cheap, and completely UV-transparent (meaning you can see what's inside without opening).
Amber or UV-tinted glass is better for longer-term storage because it blocks UV oxidation. Clear jars work for daily-drive flower.
TEMPERATURE + LIGHT
Store flower in a cool (60–70°F), dark cabinet. A fridge is too humid unless the flower is in a sealed jar with humidity packs. A freezer is unnecessary for flower and can damage trichomes if the flower is bumped while frozen (glassy trichomes shear off).
